Hi there— I’m Lily Venegas, a Minneapolis based birth doula serving the Twin City area. I have always known that I wanted to work in a field that involved caretaking and helping those in my community. I worked as a nanny for several years and discovered my passion for nurturing and aiding families and their precious babies, it truly takes a village. A few friends of mine work in the doula world and inspired me to explore it and I completely fell in love with it all. There is a lot of fear and stigma surrounding labor and birth in Western culture and as a Doula it is my job to empower you to find your strength, confidence, and power in birth — your body is made to do this! Everyone deserves a birth experience that they can look back on and cherish. My aim as your doula is to be a calm yet strong support for you physically and emotionally throughout labor and delivery and making sure you have all the evidence-based information to make decisions that sit right with your heart. I truly believe that giving birth is one of the most sacred and powerful things in the human experience, it is not only the birth of your baby but the birth of you as a mother/father/parent. Whether medicated or unmedicated, in a hospital, birth center or at home, I’m here to support you through it all.

When I’m not doing birth work you can find me curled up with a good book, working on a craft project, enjoying live music, grabbing coffee with friends, and spending time with my lovely fiancé Ashton.
